Rishtalist: frequently asked questions

Rishta Shortlist Tracker

Where is our data stored?

Only in your browser on this device. Nothing about the rishtas is uploaded unless you choose to generate a report, and even then we don't keep it. Use 'Export backup' to save a file you can open on another phone or share with family, and 'Import backup' to load it.

How is the kundli score calculated?

From the birth date, time and place of your child and each profile, using real planetary positions (sidereal, Lahiri ayanamsa) and the 36-point Ashtakoota system: Varna, Vashya, Tara, Yoni, Graha Maitri, Gana, Bhakoot and Nadi. Nadi and Bhakoot doshas are flagged; whether they are cancelled is checked in a full kundli milan report.

Can I paste a biodata I got on WhatsApp?

Yes. Paste the text of one or more biodatas into the report form and you'll get a summary, red flags and questions to ask. For a kundli score, add the person in the tracker with their birth details.

Can the whole family use one list?

Each browser has its own list. Export a backup and share the file in the family WhatsApp group; others can import it. 'Copy summary for WhatsApp' sends a quick status update.

Is it free?

The tracker and kundli scores are free and unlimited. One report a day is free; a 30-day pass (₹149) gives unlimited reports and revisions. No auto-renewal.

Does it replace a matrimony site?

No - it doesn't find matches. It organises the rishtas you already have, from any source, so you can decide well.
